Inground Pool Covers — Frequently Asked Questions
How fast is delivery for an inground pool cover in Australia?
Most inground pool cover orders are custom-prepared and dispatched within 2 business days. Delivery to metro areas (Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra) typically takes a further 2-5 business days. Regional and remote delivery may take slightly longer.
Once your cover leaves our factory, we’ll send you a StarTrack Express tracking number so you can follow the delivery to your door.
Which type of pool cover is best for my inground pool?
The best cover depends on your priority:
For general heating:
Our 550 and 600 micron covers are the most popular. They are designed to capture solar energy and can extend your swimming season by many weeks at each end of the season.
For debris control:
A mesh leaf cover sits on top of the pool and blocks autumn leaves, gum nuts, and wind-blown debris without holding water.
Many inground pool owners use a solar cover during swim season and add a tie-down leaf cover for the off-season. Send us your pool dimensions and we’ll recommend the best combination.
What if I need to make a warranty claim for my inground pool cover?
If you need to make a warranty claim, simply email us with a brief description of the issue and clear photos showing the problem.
We are a locally based business and our warranty process is straightforward. Unlike some pool cover sellers, our warranties are genuine and practical to claim against.
Why are Pool Express inground pool covers better value than other retailers?
Many pool shops and online retailers only sell a few hundred pool covers a year. We deal in thousands, which lets us keep prices well below in-store retail.
Our ordering systems are closely connected with Abgal Australia’s high-volume production facilities in Brisbane and Perth, which reduces handling, delays, and unnecessary costs. That means we can offer strong value on Australian-made inground pool covers without cutting corners on material quality. Every cover comes with the manufacturer’s warranty and free delivery Australia-wide.

Which pool cover is right for your pool?
Most pools use more than one cover through the year — a solar blanket to warm the water and cut evaporation in season, a tie-down cover for leaves and safety off-season, and a roller to handle it all. Here’s how each option compares and who it suits.
The everyday in-season cover. A custom-made floating solar blanket warms your pool by up to 8°C, cuts evaporation by around 98%, and lowers your chemical and running costs — available from 250 to 600 micron with up to a 12-year warranty.
Best for leafy yards and the off-season. A tie-down mesh cover blocks 100% of leaves, debris and dust while rain drains straight through, and adds a real layer of pool safety. Many owners run one alongside a solar blanket across the year.
Made for above-ground pools. An easy “shower-cap” style cover in heavy-duty woven polypropylene — 25% thicker than most — with a stretch cord for a quick, secure fit. Keeps out leaves, debris and dust, lets rain through, and halves evaporation. From $100.80.
The accessory that makes a solar blanket effortless. Roll the cover on and off in seconds, single-handed — which protects it and extends its life. Recommended for anything bigger than a small plunge pool, and every roller comes with a free UV over-cover. From $399.
Prefer push-button convenience? Pair a motorised Talos electric roller with a custom-made cover for hands-free operation that rolls perfectly straight every time — easier on you and gentler on the cover.
